Amanda Tkaczyk

Amanda Tkaczyk (b. 1989, Hamilton, ON) is an emerging BIPOC artist based in Galt who had her first exhibition at the Hamilton Fringe Festival in July 2024. Her abstract acrylic paintings are vibrant and chaotic, created without pre-planning or sketching. She uses bright colours, bold lines, and busy multi-shape patterns to express themes of loss, belonging, risk, and acceptance. She creates compelling visual overload encouraging viewers to “find one good thing where good things exist.” Join Amanda at the festival for an interactive experience “Generative Co-Creation” where you can contribute to her painting process. Come see how your participation will become a unique part of her spontaneous art!

Watch Amanda create during Art in the Open on September 29th, 2024 at the Trinity Church Maze.

Proceeds from the auction of Amanda’s piece will be going to Kinbridge Community Association.
